THANK YOU TO THE FRIENDS OF W2WW09Forgeron Cellars hosted our 2007 Special Barrel Tasting and Tour on Saturday morning. Their '07 Roussanne was particularly memorable but everything else was very nice too. They're downtown and within walking distance from the Marcus Whitman. Be sure to check them out at www.forgeroncellars.com. Fort Walla Walla Cellars hosted our 2007 Saturday dinner. We enjoyed their facility and hospitality although we never did meet Cliff. They're also downtown in walking distance to the Marcus Whitman. Check them out at www.fortwallawallacellars.com. Syzygy was the first winery we contacted when we hatched this idea. They gave us the layout of the place and showed us their great Walla Walla hospitality. Although we didn't host an event there, we urge you to check them out at the airport. www.syzygywines.com. Foundry Vineyards is Mark Anderson's operation. He runs an actual foundry in Walla Walla used by artists from across the country. While the foundry is not open to the public, he also has a vineyard on his property spec'd out by some of the best growing talent available. His grapes find their way to a custom crush operation and various cellars and end up in fine restaurants and his very own tasting room. Mark also opened his doors to the possibility of hosting one of our events and we thank him for his hospitality. Someone needs to give this man an airplane ride! Check his wines out at www.foundryvineyards.com. Va Piano Vineyard is set in an idyllic spot surrounded by the very vines that bring it fame. We almost hosted our Friday evening event there and strongly urge you to check them out on the south side of town. Say hi to Kathleen when you're there! www.vapianovineyards.com. Dunham Cellars will host our Saturday morning VIP tasting this year otherwise known as "Saturday's last sober moment." They've done what we've all dreamed of which is turning a hanger into a nightclub. (What, you haven't dreamed about that? ? ?) They have a wonderful selection of wines across a nice range of prices and we're looking forward to seeing what Rebecca has planned for us on Saturday morning! www.dunhamcellars.com. Waterbrook Cellars is "The Big Dog" in Walla Walla. Celebrating their 25th year with the opening of their new production facility and Event Center/Tasting Room, Wings to Walla Walla '09 is proud and honored to be the first outside event taking place at their new digs outside of town on highway 12 Friday night. Our thanks to Andrew Browne and Michelle Liberty of Precept Brands for making this happen. Check them out at www.waterbrook.com. Blue Ridge Aviation is hosting Wings to Walla Walla for the second time. We are grateful for Stan's encouragement and understanding with our group.
